On February 13, during an extraordinary session of the National Assembly, the draft law “On Amendments and Additions to the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia” was adopted in the second reading. According to the amendment, employment contracts will be concluded, modified, and terminated exclusively through the digital system starting from July 1, 2027, instead of the previously established date of January 1, 2026.

• Until then, it is permitted to continue concluding contracts in paper form as well, aiming to ensure full access to ID cards and electronic signatures.

The project was approved in the National Assembly session with 59 votes in favor, 0 against, and 1 abstention.
